Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has announced that the Gulfstream G700 and G800 aircrafts have received certification from the FAA for their Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines. This certification marks a significant milestone towards type certification, market entry, and customer deliveries of the G700 and G800 models.
Mark Burns, the president of Gulfstream, expressed excitement over this latest advancement towards certification. He emphasized that the G700 and G800 are setting new industry standards for efficiency and performance, thanks to the combination of Gulfstream aerodynamics and the Pearl 700 engines. The demand for these aircrafts is driven by their advanced technology, comfortable cabins, and ultralong-range capabilities.
The G700 and G800 feature a high-speed, aerodynamic wing design with new winglets specifically designed for these models. These features, along with the efficient Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines, contribute to reduced fuel consumption and emissions.
The G700 offers a range of 6,650 nautical miles at Mach 0.90 or 7,750 nm at Mach 0.85, making it the fastest model in the Gulfstream fleet with a top speed of Mach 0.935. The G800 can travel up to 7,000 nm at Mach 0.90 or 8,000 nm at Mach 0.85.
Both the G700 and G800 are equipped with the Gulfstream Symmetry Flight Deck, which includes electronically linked active control sidesticks and the Predictive Landing Performance System.
Inside the cabin, passengers can enjoy 100 percent fresh air, the lowest cabin altitude in the industry, low noise levels, and natural light from Gulfstream’s iconic Panoramic Oval Windows.
Fun Fact: Gulfstream’s Panoramic Oval Windows, known for providing abundant natural light in the cabin, are the largest in the industry, offering stunning views from the comfort of the aircraft.
