Altitude Sickness

Altitude sickness is a very important issue in high altitude travel. This thing can never disappear from the mind. Drink plenty of water and avoid exerting yourself too much.

Hypothermia

Hypothermia can be called the silent killer of altitude. Neither the Royal Bengal Tiger of Sundarbans nor Jim Corbett’s ‘The Man Eating Leopard of Rudraprayag’ makes its presence felt and attacks. They choose their prey by avoiding everyone’s attention. Usually the weakest of the group, disobedient, flouting group rules, or isolated from the group.

Then when the attack comes suddenly, the victim has no time to protest. The method of treating hypothermia is very similar. Hypoxia (lack of oxygen) and hypothermia on high-altitude treks have taken the lives of climbers one after the other. A tired climber returning from the summit becomes more exhausted due to lack of oxygen. Hypoxia weakens, then hypothermia kills the rest.
